Dave Repsold started in 1969 racing stock cars and hot rods in 1983 soon moved on to saloon car racing.

He had his first race in a TOYOTA in 1984 and has been loyal to the TOYOTA brand since. A string of class

Championship wins started in 1991 when his pink Corolla became the dominant force in his class and often challenging the class B vehicles. As is the case with its Group N Conquest RSI stablemate the TOYOTA SPRINTER 1600 (above pictures) is the car to beat in Class C of the Westbank Modified series. For the past 3 years one of these cars driven by Dave Repsold has won the Class C Championship in this series.

Manny's Trix

Manny Marino has been involved in turbo charging  and Nitrous Oxide kits from  the mid 80,s, and has reached to becoming one of  country’s best TURBO and NOS conversion specialist. Manny has produced some of the fastest Toyota Twincam turbo’s and Nitrous cars in the country. He has also helped develop the quickest 1600 Twincam  Bakkie of Johnny Almeida in the country  with speed of 303km/h over 2,5km.

Manny Marino has done some great work on a 20valve which belongs to one of our club members.

The following was done:

  • Gas flowed and ported head with 3 angle valve seats
  • Billet Cams
  • Customized bottom end

The vehicle pushed 99kw on wheels, strong for up on the reef, Will post the dyno results up as well , Manny being the Clubs Official Tuner ,has quoted the following for all 20valve members.

Just Headwork – R10000. and another R5000 more for bottom end.

This is all up to you how far you want to go.

Manny is also very well known for twincam turbo conversions, making some excellent power including NOS conversions. We’ve personally seen some of his turbo powered twincam 16 valve conversions push over 300kw regularly.
